Applications

Power shielded cable for fixed installations, used for connection of transformers, switchgears, GIS substations, motors, generators, feeders in distribution networks. Suitable to be installed directly buried, buried in ducts, in conduits, cable trays or in free air.

Construction: Singlecore cable.

Conductor: Compact-round stranded copper conductor. For AWG and kcmil sizes: class B according to ASTM B3, ASTM B8 and ASTM B496 according to requirements of ICEA S-93-639. For standard mm² sizes: class 2 according to IEC 60228.

Conductor shield: Extruded semiconducting material.

Insulation: Tree-Retardant crosslinked polyethylene (TR-XLPE)  or crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) with excellent electrical properties, good resistance to ozone and chemical agents.

Insulation shield: Extruded semiconducting material.

Metallic shield: Copper tape applied helically in intimate contact with the underlaying semiconducting layer, 50% nominal overlap. Copper wires applied over the tape.

Oversheath: Low fire hazard polyolefin (LFH), flame and fire retardant, low smoke emision, resistant to weather and UV radiation. Color upon request.

Diseños opcionales reforzados

Nexans se adapta a las distintas necesidades de los proyectos eléctricos y es por ello que ofrece una serie de características adicionales para potenciar las aplicaciones de la oferta básica de los cables Freetox de media tensión, entre ellas:

 

FREETOX-W1: Con sistema de protección de ingreso de agua en el conductor de fase.

 

FREETOX-W2: Con sistema de protección de ingreso de agua en en la pantalla.

 

FREETOX-W3: Con sistema de protección de ingreso de agua en conductor y en pantalla.

 

FREETOX-W3R: Con sistema de protección de ingreso de agua en conductor, en pantalla y radial bajo cubierta.

 

FREETOX-(ZAL): Con protección mecánica de armadura de doble cinta de aleación de aluminio reforzado.

 

FREETOX-RAT: Con protección en la cubierta resistente al ataque de roedores.

 

FREETOX X/Y MM2: Para una sección de fase X, se puede reforzar la pantalla con una sección a pedido Y. Ejemplo: Freetox 15KV 240/50MM2

FREETOX-W3R-(ZAL)-RAT 25KV 133%IL 250KCMIL / 2AWG ROJO.

Cable de alta seguridad frente a Incendio con conductor de cobre compactado clase B sección principal de 250KCMIL, aislación de XLPE diseñado para una tensión nominal de 25KV y un nivel de aislación del 133%, con cubierta LFH con protección UV. En caso de incendio No propaga el fuego, no genera gases tóxicos ni opacos.  Cable full bloqueo contra el agua, con protección mecánica de armadura de doble fleje de aluminio reforzado, cubierta con protección anti-roedores y pantalla de cobre reforzada con sección de 2AWG equivalente a 33.6mm2 mínimo.
