National Leadership

Nexans began operations in Chile in 2008, after acquiring the cable unit of the Chilean company Madeco, a large industrial tradition company in the country, founded in 1944 to supply the local market, becoming in time as the undisputed market leader.

This operation not only materialized Nexans joining Chile, but established a close relationship with our country, since the Luksic Group - Madeco Management- became the single largest shareholder of Nexans.

Nexans Chile has consolidated its leadership in the country, with a system offering high quality cabling, enhanced with the seal of permanent innovation that characterizes the company, always in the hands of its customers.

To date, the company has positioned Chile as the most reliable provider of cables and cabling systems of domestic market, supplying multiple areas of the economy such as construction, energy, industry, and mining, among others.

One of the most important facts Nexans did, was converted to its Chilean subsidiary in Latin American provider of cable solutions for mining and other, taking advantage of the extensive knowledge and global leadership in the field has Chile.

Many products and services designed and developed in Chile are now part of the Nexans global catalog, providing innovative solutions and quality service to customers throughout the region and even in other continents.
